i would have hated that
churning phrases conceived
to trick and deceive
i couldn’t really have
worked in advertising
i’m not suited to striving,
trying, explaining, doing
maintaining rhyme or structure
or work generally
nor manipulative or in possession
of a good understanding
of the motivations of others
ah i hate adverts. they somehow hurt my ears when they come on a podcast. tv adverts make me so distressed as i struggle to find the mute button on the remote. i like fads though. i like to get into them at the wrong time. once it’s not cool anymore. i’ll probably get into matcha in twelve years or so.
