the global village
was a tat shop
that closed down in y2k
and now it’s a lidl
with societal collapse in the middle
sold by men in polyester
suits and toupees
can i talk about land reform again?
the more i think
the clearer it is
that no person
corporal or metaphysical
should be able to own
even a small part
of a billion year old rock
careering through space
did i mention that i’ve been reading ‘against the grain’ by james c scott? he also wrote ‘seeing like a state’. i barely know what to call it. ancient history cum sociology. he writes about how states come to exist. and the evidence suggests: the first inhabitants of states were slaves. if only nobody had ever put up a fence, we would be free.
